Founded in 2011, the start-up from Berlin provides intuitive software solutions and additional services for more than 8.000 businesses in the DACH region, in particular an iPad-based POS system. Today, orderbird AG employs more than 100 people in Berlin and Vienna.
The purpose of the new financing round is to further extend market leadership and to develop further areas of business. The fresh capital is provided in part by current investors such as Carsten Maschmeyer’s investment fund ALSTIN but also by new investors such as Dr Max Iann Invest GmbH, which has been advised by KPMG.
Dr. Olaf Weiß and Dr. Ines Krolop have already advised orderbird AG on its previous financing rounds, most recently on the investments by Metro Group and Digitalplus in 2016.
